The popularity of '67s for Cal Lookers is again apparent with David Baral's Red '67 from California. David did the body work and pan off restoration with the help of his friend and fellow restorer Andy Spilkoman. The car was painted by another friend who owns Scott Guildner Auto Body painted with Ditzler acrylic enamel in 1999 Chevy Silverado Z71 Victory Red. The interior was done in original style with TMI and West Coast Classic products. Many parts are NOS or German, purchased from Koch's VW in Canyon Country. Dave has approximately $20,000 U.S. into the car.

Bergman built 2180: 82mm Bergman crank; 92mm Cima forged pistons; Engle 110 cam; 044 street heads; dual 44 Webers; heater boxes with a tuck-away exhaust; and an external oil cooler/fan combination under the trans.
