Milton Pugh Long Beach, CA '67 Sedan

This all-steel '67 is owned by Milton Pugh of Long Beach, California. Serving as his neighbor's daily driver for almost 7 years until a small fire sidelined it, Milt bought the '67 with the goal of turning it into a "beast". Despite the exceptional performance at the track, Milt still uses the car on the street, and drives it to work approximately once per week.

While the sign writing may not be traditional Cal-Look, Milt's car is still clearly strongly influenced by the traditional California Look, with it's nose down attitude, single color white paint, t-bars, a simple interior with gauges and an aftermarket steering wheel, and a 2 liter engine with IDAs backed up by a close ratio gearbox. Milt is very proud of the fact that his best time (as of this writing) is an incredible 11.90 ET @ 110.66 mph, with the fan belt on and through the muffler!

2165 (78x94): SLR cam (261 @ .050, 380 @ cam); wedgemated crank; Scat "I-Beam" rods; Scat lifters; Magnum straight cut gears; Mahle pistons and cylinders; and Street Eliminator heads, ported and polished by Heads Up Performance.

Super Beetle mainshaft; "Poor Man's Posi"; and a 4.12 R&P with 1.58 3rd, and 1.21 4th gears.
